Throng of Nobs
Here comes some new noise from Sheffield, England strong boys Wet Nuns. 2012/13 saw the duo raking in praise from taste-makers all over the globe with the release of the Broken Teeth EP along with endorsement deals and offers from people like Kim Jong-Un who reportedly asked the Nuns to play his 1st annual “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” gala. They politely refused but wisely accepted an offer to score a Razor Scooter “Crazy Cart” commercial instead. Sic semper tyrannis!
Anyways. Here’s the new single from their upcoming self-titled album. If you haven’t noticed yet it’s called “Hanging” and its 3:19 of noise to molest yr senses. The song lulls you into a false security with it’s relatively laid back vibe only to smash apart at the 2:28 mark with a riff that’d make Zack Wylde flinch and cringe. “Doom like a motherfucker!” is how I’ve heard it described and as much as I want to slap the dude who just said that square in the ear I have no choice but to agree. The single will be out September 15th ahead of the record which has an October 9th release date that is, if they’re both still alive. Pray for them.
